The Amissville Family:

A story of God's amazing grace.

Amissville Baptist Church began as a Baptist Bible study and was constituted as a local church on December 29, 1888.  The Lord blessed ABC and within a year the church of 36 members had grown to 91 members.  Two years later, the church constructed and opened its current sanctuary in the summer 1891. As the church expanded numerically, the saints of ABC also expanded ABC's physical footprint to include a cemetery in 1920 and its fellowship in 1982.

The Lord has preserved ABC through many ups and downs throughout the last 100 plus years. ABC has baptized hundred of souls, accomplished countless community projects, and also sent out six of its members to serve as pastors and missionaries during that time. ABC's called Peter Witkowski to serve as its senior pastor in April 2018. ABC now has a heart to expand the worship of the one true God beyond the historic farm community of Amissville and Rappahannock County and to evangelize and disciple the families of Culpeper and  Fauquier counties.

Our Vision for Today: WORSHIPING THE ONE TRUE GOD

ABC encourages men and women to find their happiness in God through loving God and loving each other. To accomplish this divine mission, the families of ABC gather together each Sunday and throughout the week to sing God's praises, to offer prayers to the Lord, to hear His revealed Word preached, and to compassionately care for one another.

We all serve side-by-side to promote the worship of Jesus in Rappahannock, Fauquier, and Culpeper Counties, and to the ends of the earth. As all biblical congregations throughout history and across the globe, ABC exists to spread the worship of the one true, triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
