Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at our Sunday worship service. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through being our guest, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus. Most dress modestly casually but some do wear a tie. We are not concerned with your dress, but how your heart is displayed before the Lord. Also, please note, only members support the ministries of Amissville. You are not expected to give during the offering time in the service.
Life is tough! It has many valleys and as well as numerous mountain top experiences. Each person comes to worship seeking God, praising Him, and thanking Him for walking with them through their journey of life. Our worship is confessing our dependance on our living God - the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living.
We value Scripture as the basis for understanding who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him. Each Sunday morning you will encounter expository preaching from the living Word - the Bible.
